Using College Websites To Find Romance

As today is my birthday, I am going to be a little bit more light-hearted.
I love China dearly and one of the reasons I do, is because they do many things so differently from the West that just makes you say…WOW.
One of the most fascinating things I have seen since living here is watching a group of parents at a park with pens and notebooks - exchanging names, addresses and photos of potential partners for their sons and daughters.
I always knew marriage was a very big deal in this culture but this just blew me away. The children were no where to be seen but there the parents were, networking with each other - trying to finding potential husbands and wives for their adult kids.
Now it seems that a growing number of universities in China have joined the "match-making business" by using a section of their campus websites as a place for their students to find love.
You would think this sort of activity would be outside of a university’s purview but like I said, China is a very unique and interesting culture.
Turns out that the vast majority of these college hook-ups get no where, as there is a 97% failure rate.
But for the other 3% - college life couldn’t be better
Who said computers were just for geeks…
